These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Scarborough Health Acupuncture Supplies website and the purchase of products from our online shop. By using this website or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer legislation.

Scarborough Health Acupuncture Supplies is a supplier of acupuncture needles, sterile medical devices, electrotherapy equipment, clinical consumables and associated healthcare products.

If you have any questions regarding these Terms or your order, please contact us using the details provided at the end of this document.

2. Using Our Website

You may browse our website without creating an account. However, you may be required to register or log in to complete a purchase.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with its operation or the rights of other users.

All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, product descriptions and software, is owned by or licensed to Scarborough Health Acupuncture Supplies and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without our prior written consent.

3. Products

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, pricing and availability are accurate.

Images are provided for illustration purposes only and packaging may vary from that shown.

All products are offered subject to availability.

We reserve the right to amend product specifications where necessary without affecting their intended use or quality.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they purchase are suitable for their intended application.

4. Medical & Sterile Products

Many products supplied by Scarborough Health Acupuncture Supplies are sterile medical devices.

Products should be inspected immediately upon delivery. If sterile packaging appears damaged or compromised, the product must not be used.

For reasons of health protection and hygiene, sterile products cannot be returned once the sterile seal or packaging has been opened unless the goods are faulty, damaged or supplied in error.

Products should always be stored, handled and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Where products are intended for professional use, customers are responsible for ensuring that they are appropriately trained and competent in their safe use.

Where applicable, customers are encouraged to retain packaging and batch numbers to assist with any future product recall or quality investigation.

Products supplied as medical devices are supplied in accordance with applicable UK medical device legislation where required.

5. Orders

All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance.

An automated order confirmation confirms receipt of your order but does not constitute acceptance of your order.

A legally binding contract is formed only when your order has been dispatched.

If we cannot fulfil your order due to stock shortages, pricing errors or other circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.

6. Prices & VAT

All prices shown are inclusive of VAT where applicable unless otherwise stated.

Delivery charges are displayed separately during checkout.

We reserve the right to amend prices at any time. Any changes will not affect orders already accepted.

7. Payment

Payments made through our website are processed securely using trusted third-party payment providers.

We do not store your full payment card details.

Orders will normally only be dispatched once payment has been successfully authorised.

8. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders placed before 3:00 pm on the same working day whenever possible.

Orders are normally dispatched using Royal Mail Tracked services or another recognised courier.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Tracking information will be emailed once your order has been dispatched.

Customers should inspect deliveries as soon as reasonably possible and notify us promptly of any shortages, damage or incorrect goods.

Royal Mail investigations into delivery issues are time limited. To enable us to assist, delivery issues should be reported within 10 days of the recorded delivery date where possible.

Risk in the goods passes to you once the goods have been delivered.

Ownership of the goods remains with Scarborough Health Acupuncture Supplies until payment has been received in full.

9. Cancellation, Returns & Refunds

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you have the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving your goods under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

To exercise your right to cancel, please contact us before the cancellation period expires.

Unless goods are faulty, damaged or supplied incorrectly, customers are responsible for the cost of returning cancelled goods.

Returned goods should be unused, in their original packaging and in a condition suitable for resale.

Sterile products that have been opened, unsealed or had their sterile packaging compromised cannot be returned for health protection and hygiene reasons unless they are faulty.

Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or satisfactory evidence that they have been returned.

These provisions do not affect your statutory rights.

10. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If goods arrive damaged, defective, incomplete or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable.

Where appropriate, we will provide a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11. Product Safety & Recalls

Should a manufacturer issue a product recall or safety notice affecting products supplied by us, we will make reasonable efforts to contact affected customers using the contact details held for the original order.

Customers are encouraged to retain packaging and batch information where available.

12. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection legislation.

Personal information is used only for purposes including:

processing and delivering your order;
processing payments;
customer support;
complying with legal obligations;
improving our products and services.

Where necessary, we may share information with trusted third-party service providers, including payment processors and delivery companies.

We never sell your personal information.

13. Website Availability

Whilst we make every reasonable effort to keep our website available, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

We shall not be liable for temporary interruptions caused by maintenance, technical issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Limitation of Liability

Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.

Subject to applicable law, our total liability arising from any order shall not exceed the total value of the goods purchased.

We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses except where required by law.

15. Force Majeure

We shall not be responsible for delays or failures resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, industrial disputes, transport disruption, supplier shortages, pandemics, cyber incidents or government action.

16. International Orders

Customers ordering goods for delivery outside the United Kingdom are responsible for ensuring the products comply with local import requirements and for paying any customs duties, taxes or import charges applicable in the destination country.
