Laser Biostimulation - Dr Patrick Becu
12 Questions to ask yourself
Recommendations for choice and practice based on 30 years of experience
The word laser always retains a connotation bordering on magic....
Synonymous with power, there is something impressive in the immateriality of this super luminous ray, seeming straight out of science fiction. It's everywhere today. In industry, in barcode or DVD readers, pointers, in art or entertainment.
Even in our medical field, it still often carries a certain mystery, that of an insider apparatus.
So the idea came to me that it would be helpful, in the space of a few pages, to cover some of the most frequent questions that people ask - or might ask - before they purchase a device that can be quite expensive. That's not a problem for a worthwhile investment, bit it's pure waste if the wrong device is chosen and it just sits on a shelf gathering dust.
This booklet is not intended to be scientific, but rather a means of sharing 30 years of personal experience and knowledge gleaned from books,, technical papers and above all from skilled practitioners.
My objective is merely to help you feel more comfortable when talking about lasers, whether it's with colleagues, patients..... or sales representatives.
I was fortunate enough to meet Dr Paul Mogier while I was stuf=dying veterinary medicine, through his son Jean, who was the CEO at Sedatelec and who warmly received a young student curious about this movel method call Auriculotherapy. That was also when I first encourntered medical cold lasers, and the surprising clinical results associated with them. If I refer to them quite often, it's because I am speaking from experience....
I also work as a part-time consultant for Sedatelec. I do not consider myself to have a conflict of interest by relating my professional experience here, but I do wish things to be clear. It really does simplify matters!
