Reduced-Plastic Acupuncture Guide Tubes
By making guide tubes optional rather than automatically supplying one with every needle, AcuFast allows practitioners who don't routinely use guide tubes to avoid accumulating and disposing of unwanted plastic.
For practitioners who do prefer guide tubes, the reduced-plastic design provides a more considered alternative to conventional tubes.
The PET1 pouch packaging is recyclable where suitable local recycling facilities accept the material. Always follow applicable clinical-waste and local recycling requirements.
Gamma Irradiation Sterilised
AcuFast guide tubes are sterilised using gamma irradiation, avoiding the use of ethylene oxide (EO) gas during the sterilisation process.
How Many AcuFast Guide Tubes Should I Order?
As a simple guide, if an average treatment uses approximately 20 acupuncture needles, a box of 1,000 AcuFast needles provides enough needles for approximately 50 treatments.
If you use one guide tube per treatment, you would therefore need approximately:
50 guide tubes per needle length for every box of 1,000 needles.
When purchasing the 5-tube pouch packs, this is equivalent to:
10 packs of guide tubes per box of AcuFast needles.
The actual quantity required will depend on your individual needling technique, number of patients and how frequently you use a guide tube.
